You were right, twice over. The bot first checked the caption instead of the image. The first correction then claimed the image had been fact-checked on Snopes - but reverse image search had found nothing, and that Snopes article is about faked AI Overview screenshots in general, not this file. Both replies were removed. The image content is now read and checked: no source records this AI Overview output, no other copy of the file exists online, and our two models split 5/10 against 2/10.
